Ed Heide supports the work of Credence and Co. by coming alongside the Credence team when an additional set of ears and eyes is necessary and when the perspective of a therapist can support the work in which Credence & Co. is engaged. Ed is a semi-retired social worker/psychotherapist who is currently enjoying a nice balance of family time, church volunteering, travel, and consulting work. Together with his wife, he is committed to volunteering regularly with Mennonite Central Committee’s SOOP program in various parts of North America.
Ed holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Manitoba (1972). In 1980, after working in Corrections and Residential Treatment programs, Ed established a private counseling and psychotherapy practice in Brampton, ON. In addition to seeing individuals, couples, and families, Ed also provided staff training and development workshops for a variety of social service and church organizations.
Ed brings a spirit of compassionate listening, warmth, and respect for the other to his work. His experience provides him with a rich repertoire of problem-solving and possibility thinking skills.
