Peter Spratt is a conflict management specialist serving as an Associate with Credence & Co.. Peter assists congregational leaders to deal effectively with the impacts of conflict by providing a full range of restorative solutions such as mediation, facilitated dialogue, and coaching. In addition, Peter conducts conflict assessments and leads objective, third-party investigations into code of conduct, human rights and harassment complaints. Peter also has extensive experience in leading organizational effectiveness reviews at the divisional and departmental level for large organizations and conducting policy reviews at the operational and governance levels.
Through his association with Credence, Peter has worked with Christian denominations including the United Church, Baptist, Mennonite, Salvation Army and affiliated not-for-profit community organizations. Peter is a member of Westminster United Church in Whitby, Ontario where he serves on its Ministry & Personnel Committee and has been active in various community outreach initiatives.
Peter is a Qualified Mediator (Q.Med), accredited by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (ADRIO). He is also a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), accredited by the Human Resources Professionals Association. He earned an MBA with specialization in Organization Development from York University, and a Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation from the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, Conrad Grebel University College, affiliated with the University of Waterloo.
